The first Extra 500 for a client in Berlin Germany enters production early 2009. The Extra 500 is the newest official entry in to the six place cabin class single engine turboprop market, competitively priced and less expensive than its competitors, the Socata TBM 850 and Pilatus PC-12. 

As more digital avionics are made available to the public for general aviation, Extra Aircraft introduces new options for prospective owners such as the installation of EFIS and AD AHRS as optional displays on their panels.
