A combination of the best features of both the Extra 300 and the Extra 300S, the Extra 300L is introduced and is considered to be the two-place variant of the Extra 300S. With the exceptional reception of the Extra 300S by aerobatic pilots, the Extra 300L has the wing position lowered by 8”, improved ailerons, and a shorter fuselage length.
The Extra 300L goes on to be a legendary platform in aerobatic aviation, introducing to general aviation a production quality aerobatic aircraft with unparalleled performance for competition and training purposes. A total of three hundred twenty-six (326) Extra 300Ls are manufactured between ’93 and ’15.
The Extra 300S receives its LBA type certificate on March 19th, 1993.
The Extra 300 receives its FAA type certificate on February 26th, 1993.
The Extra 300S receives its FAA type certificate on October 28th, 1993.
